Lunapads Pantyliner

I had ordered a pantyliner from Lunapads last week and it arrived today! (It was scheduled to arrive tomorrow.)
The invoice had "Blessings" written on it in pink! That's a nice touch. I was also surprised as to how soft it was! I want to stop buying feminine hygiene products from the drugstore, only to throw them away. It does not seem very environmentally friendly, and to me it looks like I'm just throwing my money away. Lunapads are washable and reusable cloth pads and pantyliners. I ordered a pink one in the Cocoa Kaleidoscope pattern.

I only ordered one to try it out and to see if I liked it, and I think I will order more. In my package, I received a coupon for 5$ off my next purchase, and also 2 pamplets (to spread the word about cloth pads) and 2 stickers (one says "I heart my period" and the other says "ditch the disposables").
I would like to get more stickers to put everywhere I can think of (to spread the word), and I am hoping to convert some of my friends to environmentally friendly menstrual products!

Birthday events

For my birthday, a few of my classmates and I went to Clay Cafe to paint pottery. I did a small vase and the others made a tealight candle holder and a turtle.

After the painting, the pottery goes into a kiln for 24 hours. This is the after photo. My vase looks much better in person.

Green Bowl

I found this bowl at Frenchy's. It looks handmade and is painted green with white specks. I think its shape resembles a bird. The apples are Jonagored. I had never heard of this kind. My dad said they were grown in my municipality.

New Laptop Skin

For Christmas, I ordered a laptop skin for myself. I got it from Decalgirl.com. I wish I had gotten one sooner to keep my computer from getting scratched! The only thing I didn't like was that for laptops, they only come in one size, and you have to cut the excess away if your laptop is smaller than the skin, as mine is. I also ordered a skin for my Nintendo DS Lite. It's aqua. It looks just like in the picture, and covers the top, and the inside where you open it. It's precut since every DS Lite is the same size, so all you have to do it peel and stick it on. It was quicker to install than the laptop skin. Decalgirl has loads of skins to choose from for many other electronics, like PS3, Wii and cellphones. When I get a new cellphone I am planning on getting a skin for it!
